Why do I want to reduce my sugar intake?
First it was just as it’s good for you.
Less sugar = less calories in.
That worked so and so.
Motivation was lacking a bit and I wasn’t that cued into it, not 100%.
Then:
I have signed up to run the South Run, in Southampton on the 10th October 2019. I thought I had signed up, but it was the Portsmouth
one I had paid and signed up to! In the very south!
Not a chance!
Daughter said, typically you! What’s you doing then?
This is the 2nd time I signed up, last year I signed up, but I never went and did the run.
Yesterday, I was watching TV with my daughter about some amazing accomplishment
and Francesca said – ‘that mummy got motivation to do ‘this’ from her daughter, you know’.
And she added, please do this race this time and get the T-shirt that you have finished!
I didn’t know that this meant that much to her!
I suffer from heat rash, miliaria rubra, sense the birth of my son, 19 years ago! When I get hot= sweaty, I get all itchy and it flares up over my whole body and its pretty painful.
The doctors suggested pills, injections and steroids.
I have found for me the best solution is to cut out or reduce sugar.
If I eat my ‘normal’ amount- I can hardly run a mile, as I’m on fire.
If I cut it out, I can run like I never have had this issue in the first place!
It’s absolutely amazing!
The motivation to stop eating sweets suddenly became must more enticing and important to me!
If I can run like this now, with reduced sugar intake, and with 10 kg overweight, how will I run when I have no- or very little sugar intake and when my weight is what I want it to be? at my goal weight- and I’m fit and lean?
How would that feel and look like?
Who would I bee then?
How pride would my daughter be, if this 10km just is the beginning of my transformation?
It’s worth exploring! Isn’t it!
